The Joy of Taxes

Sep 26, 2016 | Money

If you’re wondering what joy and taxes are doing in the same sentence, read on! The word “taxes” rarely evokes a sense of joy. It’s typically more like a sense of dread. But what if it didn’t have to be that way? What if there was a way to have ease and joy with taxes and even gratitude for all that you’re creating in your life which leads to paying taxes?

From my point of view, the purpose of taxes is to pay the least amount you can while paying something so the government believes you support them.

When you avoid paying taxes because you think they are bad, what are you creating? More money or less money? More ease or less ease? More joy or less joy?

Your point of view creates your reality. If you would like a different possibility with money and taxes, you have to change your point of view. One way you can do that is to say, “Interesting point of view. I have that point of view.” every time you notice a point of view about taxes (or anything else for that matter). What happens is that you unlock everything that you’ve decided is real and true about your point of view so that you can have choice.

What questions could you be asking instead of concluding that you don’t want to pay taxes?

When you don’t want to pay taxes, you create a future where you don’t generate enough money to pay taxes. Probably not your best choice. So instead of holding on to your conclusion, ask questions. Ask, “What else is possible?” or “How does it get any better than this?”

Here are some other questions you can ask:

  1. How many more revenue streams could you add to your life so that you’re paying taxes has no relevance to how you live your life?

Where have you decided that money comes from? Does it have to come from a job, from your family, from winning the lottery? What if you had so many revenue streams generating money for you that paying taxes had no significance at all?

Start asking, “What can I add to my life that would create more money right away?”

How many revenue streams would you like to add to your life?  How much money would you really like to be creating? Ask the Universe, demand of you and see what shows up.

  1. What would it take to be willing to pay exorbitant amounts in tax? (which means you’re generating tons of money)

Would you be willing to pay exorbitant amounts of taxes? If you’re not willing, how can exorbitant amounts of money come to you?

What if you committed to your life and living 100%? What if you were having so much fun creating and making so much money that when you paid your taxes you were joyful and grateful for all of it?

Keep asking questions. Choose gratitude. Ask for more. What energy, space and consciousness can you and your body be to have more money than god with total ease?
